Central City... Except it's nothing like the Central City she knew. Granted, she's never spent much time there, but at the very least, she'd have at least heard of ... well... this. Last thing she remembered was... voting.
And then, things got a little fuzzy.
Shaking her head, Black Canary takes a step into the city. It looks abandoned. Like nobody had lived there for years. (Centuries, even...) Nothing should surprise her anymore, after meeting Martian Manhunter and The Flash and Green Lantern. Should being the key word there...
Best she could guess is that this is some sort of illusion. But who created it? And how is she going to find her way out of it...?

Rounding a corner, he catches sight of a woman in black picking her way around some rubble. A hand settles on the sword at his side, but the other raises in a gesture of greeting, if she'd care to return it. If not... they'd just have to see. After all, the other person he's encountered so far hadn't been particularly friendly, but he also hadn't been an outright threat.

Not that there was anything but room in this place.
"Hello there!" A friendly smile. The blonde wig has always helped bring out her more outgoing side. "Any chance you could tell me a little bit more about where we are?"
no subject
"I wish I could," he says, sincerely. Even a little more knowledge would make things easier. "I think I arrived when you did."
no subject
"Well, I know one thing for sure. This certainly isn't the Central City I'm familiar with." She's made the papers, too; The Justice League of America had become quite popular over the last couple of months. Perhaps he knew her.
no subject
"Hello? Do you know where we are?"

She took a moment to assess the other woman. Clearly not someone who had been prepared to arrive here; she was dressed far too nicely to be slumming it in the ruins. A civilian casualty, perhaps. But it would be worth it to keep her guard up.
Her expression softened. "I'm as lost as you, it seems."

No, she's definitely not ready to be dumped in the middle of nowhere. She's not as weak as she looks, thanks to years of abuse at her brother's hands. But she's not exactly trained. But she has no interest in attacking Canary, Margot can tell the other woman is strong and probably an expert fighter. She knows she doesn't stand a chance.
"I wonder if there's more people like us. I'm not sure we'd find people who actually live here, will we?

Not that she'd let it show. No need to panic anyone.
"Black Canary." She extended a hand.

Margot gently shakes Canary's hand. "Margot Verger, nice to meet you." This woman has such an odd name, if she didn't know any better, Margot would say she just met a superhero. But those exist only in comic books, don't they?
no subject
"It's nice to meet you, Miss Verger." No... she'd bring this woman along, for now. It'd be slower goings, but safer. For Margot, anyways. "Care to go exploring?"
no subject
"You can call me Margot." She gets enough of that "Miss Verger" crap at home. She doesn't need such formalities here. "And exploring sounds like a good idea. Probably the best thing to do, for now."
